Katy Sauer / Sowers Younts Leonard was first the wife of Rudolph Younts.
Rudolph and Anna Catharina "Katy" came to North Carolina from Pennsylvania about 1770 and settled on Swearing Creek in what was then Rowan County.
They settled about 1793 on Abbotts Creek near other German families and the Pilgrim Church. Husband Rudolph died soon after making his will dated 25 June 1815. Katy died 9 Aug 1838 at the age of 81 yrs.
