Anne Barley

Henry Barley married secondly a wife named Anne, about whom nothing further is known. In the will below the testator requests that Masses be said for ‘Elizabeth and Anne, late my wives’.

It is possible that Anne was the widow of Thomas Goddard when she married the testator, and that Anthony Goddard and Dorothy Goddard mentioned in the will below were thus the testator’s stepchildren by his second marriage.
