Henry Tyler lived in the outskirts of what is now the city of Williamsburg, Virginia.
At June Court 1672, Ann Tyler his relic, (Henry), entered a record of Deed of Gift disposing of her separate estate among her three sons, Henry, John and Daniel. There were no heirs by his first wife Mary. Two children of Henry and Anne went on to have many descendants: His oldest son, Henry Tyler stayed in VA and his line is the 10th President John Tyler's line. This line of John Tyler's can be considered "The Southern Tylers". The Tylers migrated heavily after the Revolutionary War, to Texas, Missouri, Mississippi and Louisiana.
In 1-7-1652 Henry was granted 254 Acres of land for importing himself and wife Mary and 4 other persons to Middle Plantation, VA. He was the original grantee of land upon which the Governer's palace was erected, where it now stands. He was also a sheriff, coroner and Justice of the Peace in 1658. He was a churchman of Bruton parish, an architect, aristocrat, wealthy and educated man. See the Letters and Times of Tylers, Vol. 36-37.
"In 1658 he married Ann ORCHARD, in York Co., VA" "Henry Tyler, a descendant of Wat Tyler, came to VA before 1645. He was "patented" 254 acres of land at Middle Plantation, which is today's Williamsburg. In 1653 he was a Justice of the Peace in York Co."
