Pope's "Pioneers of Massachusetts" states:
"Shelley, Robert, embarked for New England June 22, 1632, settled at Boston; propr. He was probably the husband of "widow Shelley,' whose house is referred to in the bounds of land Sept. 25, 1637. Her "son" had a land grant in Captaines Plaines at Mount Woolystone Nov. 27, 1639. Anne, maid servant to John Coggeshall of Roxbury, afterward wife of Richard Foxwell of Scituate, Robert and Margaret, maid servant to Wm. Coddington, admitted church Boston Apr. 19, 1636, seem to the writer to be children of Robert and this woman."
