OBITUARY

MRS. WILLIAM KEYSOR

The many friends of the family were greatly shocked to learn of the death of Mrs. Wm. Keysor, which occurred at her home in northwest Chariton on Thursday afternoon, March 16, 1911, at 4:30 o'clock, after a brief illness with pneumonia.

Largely attended funeral services were held at the family residence on Saturday afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by Rev. C. C. Davis, pastor of the Christian church, assisted by a quartet of singers from that church, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Chariton cemetery.

Annie Catherine Kettering was born in Pennsylvania on October 26, 1838. The Kettering family came to Iowa when she was quite young and settled in Davenport. There, in her early life she united with the Christian church.

She moved from there to Brooklyn, Iowa, thence to Kansas and Missouri. In 1873, she with her husband, Wm. Keysor, settled in Lucas county, Iowa, near Oakley, later moving to Chariton, where they have lived for a number of years.

Deceased was of a quiet, unobtrusive nature, devoted to her family. She possessed a kind and lovable disposition and made warm friends of all with whom she came in contact.

She is survived by her husband and by one daughter, Mrs. Mumford, of Kansas, who will have the sympathy of the community in their grief.
