ANNIE MATOCHA KOCIAN

YOAKUM - Annie Matocha Kocian, 89, of Yoakum, passed away Monday, Dec. 12, 2011. She was born in Lavaca County on Oct. 22, 1922 to the late Frank and Annie Janca Matocha. She was retired from Tandy Brands and was a devout Catholic.
She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Boedeker and husband George, Jr. of Victoria, Dorothy Macha and husband Ronnie of Yoakum; sons, Martin Kocian, Jr. and wife Geneva of Victoria, Larry Kocian and wife Mary of Victoria, Dennis Kocian and wife Shirley of Yoakum, Leonard Kocian and wife Vicky of Houston; fourteen grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one great-grandchild, Gary Lee Engelmohr Jr.; brothers, Henry, Barney and Emil Matocha; sisters, Margaret Matocha and Irene Boedeker; and grandson-in-law, Gary Engelmohr Sr.
Visitation will be from 5 - 7:30 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Matthew Huehlefeld officiating. Interment at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Lloyd Boedeker, Jacqueline Macha, Chad Allen Kocian, Thomas Kocian, Logan Kocian, Haley Marie Kocian, Preston Kocian, and Robert Kocian.
Memorials may be given to St. Joseph Catholic School Endowment Fund or donor's choice.
