From his obituary:
Tony was a graduate of Tuft’s University (electrical engineering) and served in the armed Forces. He was a soldier in Company F, 101st Infantry serving overseas in the European Theatre and participated in two major battles. He suffered injuries in France during World War II, and was awarded the purple heart, but nothing like a metal kept him down. he captured 8 German soldiers, and then thanked his Lord for keeping him safe.
Little known fact... Tony owns the world record for longest punt... he kicked a football from his end zone to the other when he played semi-pro football in Stoughton, MA (p.s. the NFL record is only 93 yards, not 100 like Tony’s)!
