He [Harald Maddadsson] m., 1stly, Alfreka, dau. of Duncan, 4th Earl of Fife (1136-1154), Regent of Scotland 1153, but repudiated her (probably after the death of her father) during Jarl Kali-Ragnvald’s absence on pilgrimage, having had issue. [Complete Peerage, X:Appendix A:22-25]

I originally interpreted BP to indicate that she was sister of Duncan, 4th Earl of Fife, but the following post-em from Curt Hofemann, curt_hofemann@yahoo.com, might clear up the conflict:

My records show Burke’s & CP were not at odds, but were both correct as flws:

Harald, Jt Jarl of Orkney with his cousin Rognvald and perhaps Jt Earl of Caithness too; born 1130; killed his cousin Harald ugni 1198 and so became sole Earl of Caithness; married 1st Afrika/Alfreka, sister of Duncan Earl of Fife; married 2nd Gorm(f)la(e)th/Hvafleda/Harlod/Hvorflod, daughter of Malcolm MacHeth, 1st Earl of Ross, supposedly himself son of Angus Earl of Moray.

FamilySearch.org.PedrigreeFiles states date of Birth around 1135 (CD#126 PIN#1239096) which gives her time to have the four children born of her marriage to Harald of Orkney.

    Afrika (?) was born before 1136. She is the daughter of Gillemichel MacDuff, 1st Earl of Fife. She married Harold Maddadson, Jarl of Orkney, son of Madach, 1st Earl of Atholl and Margaret of Orkney.1
