Jacob Jans Gardenier married again, on 18 Jan 1674, to Barentje Straetsman, at Albany, New York, born ca 1620 at Nuremburg. She was the widow of Coenraedtse Backer.

Jan. 18, 1674. Given to the widow of Hans de Backer (Hans Coenraetsen, from Nuremberg, Bavaria) a winding sheet, costing one beaver. Paid for the beaver in seawan 17 fl.
