Bithiah Basset was born Decemr 25th Anno Dom 1693" in Bridgewater, Massachusetts and died after 21 May 1764 in Norton, Bristol, Province of Massachusetts Bay.
Bethia Bassett was named executor of her father's estate in his will dated 12 Jan 1735/6, at Bridgewater.[2]
Bethia married William Coddington of Norton between 12 Jan 1735/6 and 19 Sep 1738. He had previously been married to Elizabeth Jones and apparently by her had a daughter Abigail. William bought land in Norton in 1721.[2]
19 Sep 1738, William and wife Bethia sold the homestead of their father Joseph Bassett of Bridgewater, deceased.[2]
6 Sept 1657, William Coddington of Norton, housewright, and Bethia his wife, and Samuel Phillips of Norton and Lydia his wife, sold two thirds of a lot that had beloged to their father Joseph Basset to Joseph Alger.[2]
William Coddington and wife Bethia, of Norton, acknowledged a deed of sale, dated 13 Dec 1763, of swampland on 21 May 1764. This is the last known record for Bethia.[2]
The couple had no known children.[2]
5th Generation descendant of John Billington and 4th generation descandant of Francis Eaton.

Joseph Bassett’s 1735 will names the three daughters:
- oldest, Bethia Bassett (named executor);
- 2nd Mehetebell Holloway of Middleboro;
- 3rd Lydia Phillips of Norton.[1]
