25 February 1625: Contract between Sir Duncan Campbell of Glenurquhie, kt, tutor of Katherine Campbell, his lawful daughter, on one part, and Patrick Campbell of Culdaris, on other part, whereby said Duncan "for the better help and support of the said Katreine Campbell his dochter to ane honourabill mareage" binds himself to deliver to said Patrick before 1 May next to come, various great mares as specified; 50 in Auchinchalein and merkland of Glenkinglas, 50 in Glenlochae Albanoch, 24 in Glenlocha Urquhay and Coniniche, 2 in park of Finlarg, extending in all to sixscore six great mares, to be kept by said Patrick in steelbow, for the next nine years following.
