FARMER DIES FROM INJURIES
THAMES, Saturday. Charles Henry Laurence, farmer, aged 48, of Kopuarahi, who was kicked in the abdomen by a horse on November 29, died early this morning in the Thames Hospital.

The death occurred in the Thames Hospital after midnight last night of Mr. Charles Henry Laurence, a farmer, of Kopuarahi, aged 48. Mr. Laurence was admitted to the hospital on Novemher 29 suffering from injuries sustained through a kick from a horse. He was a returned soldier and was well known and popular on the Plains. In view of the circumstances Mr. W. H. Lucas, the Coroner, will hold an inquest at 3 p.m. this afternoon, which, after evidence of identification, it will be adjourned until a later date to enable further enquiries to he made. Mr. Laurence had just spent a long period in the Thames Hospital with an injured hand which was badly gashed by a swinging glass door.
