Christopher Branch, Jr. was born about 1628 at "Kingsland" (see attached map), the plantation owned by his father in Henrico, Co., VA. Christopher was the third son of Christopher and Mary Addy (Addie) Branch. He moved from Henrico Co. to Charles City Co. where, in 1657 at the age of 29, he was appointed justice.
The inventory of his estate was made 24 Dec 1665 by William Farrar II. His wife is reported to have been Sarah Almond but owing to the total destruction of the earlier Charles City records, nothing very definite is known concerning her, save that he married her before 1658, and she bore her husband three sons and two daughters including Mary Branch. Sarah presumably did not long survive her husband's premature death in 1665.
The children of Christopher and Sarah (Almond) Branch were:
Branchiana has the parents of Mary (Branch) Jefferson Mattox as Christopher's brother Thomas.
