- David Trail Sr. of "David's Industry" (1672-1753) arrived on the ship"Providence" with his twin brother James in 1692 at Somerset County, Maryland. David Trail Sr. migrated to Charles County, Maryland, in 1693, with John Emmett, Hannah Emmett, William Smith, William Shilittoe, Rev. Hugh Moore, William "Coovie" (Covey), and William McCoy. They settled the tract "Seaman's Delight" in New Scotland Hundred which became part of Prince George's County in 1696. All these settlers migrated from Somerset County, Maryland where the plantations of Rev. William Trail, John Emmett and William Shilittoe were all adjacent along the Pocomoke River. Rev.
