Dr. Abraham CROWDER 30 August 1730 in Bristol Parish, Prince George Co. Virginia
Note: Dr. Abraham was a surgeon and physician. He is believed to have rendered Patriotic Service during the Revolutionary War,donating 1.300 Cwt. beef for the troops,1782. He signed Mecklenburg Co. VA. Legislative Petition #392,14 May 1777, concerning the devaluation of the currency. On the Personal Property Tax List, 1787 Mecklenburg Co. VA, Abraham is listed as a surgeon with Negroes Dick, Dick, Chloe, Sam, Silvy, and Ned. Chloe was given to Abraham's wife Frances by her father Robert Tucker in his 1769 will in Amelia Co. VA.
