Dustin Gauss, age 30, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2011 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Mr. Gauss, son of Mike and Nancy (Dummit) Gauss, was born on October 7, 1980 in Monett, Missouri. Dustin was a lifelong resident of Cassville, graduating from Cassville High School in 1999. At the age of 17, he went to work for Rick and Gayla Neill and was currently employed at Neill's Home Store in Cassville. On May 14, 2005 at the Monett Church of the Nazarene, he was united in marriage to Kasey Hall. To this union one child was born, Mason Tyler Gauss. Dustin was the Youth President for the Monett Church of the Nazerene. He was very involved in all areas of the church from the nursery to being a board member. He also taught Sunday School classes, served as the sound technician, and held his local minister's license. Dustin lived his life for God and his family. He stated, "God is molding me every day; several times he has had to start over, but has never given up. My life would be different without God. He has made me who I am today. When I mess up I try not to give up, and keep on working for God because he doesn't give up on me."

Survivors include his wife, Kasey Gauss, of Cassville; one son, Mason Tyler Gauss, of the home; his parents, Mike and Nancy Gauss, of Cassville; one brother, Michael Joshua Gauss, and his wife, Bekah, of Joplin; one sister, Christel Moore Roller, and her husband, Bobby, of Cassville; mother-in-law, Cheryl Williams, and her husband, Scott, of Cassville; father-in-law, Roger Hall, and his wife, Gail, of Aurora; brothers-in-law, Eric and Scotty Hall, both of Cassville; grandparents, Bill and Faye Moore, of Shell Knob, and Ray and Barbara Kingrey, of Cassville; and nieces and nephews, Keenan and Laney Roller, Jacob, Tristan, Honesty, Nikki, and Ethan Hall, and Ellie and Eli Cahalan. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Pauline Dummit. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Monett Church of the Nazarene in Monett with Pastor Noel George and Pastor Chris Carver officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield, Missouri. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 30th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the White Funeral Home, Cassville, Missouri. Memorials made be made to Mason Tyler Gauss Educational Fund and may be entrusted to the White Funeral Home.
