Edmund was christened at Saint Mary at Coslany, in Norwich, on 8 April 1627; his father was George Crickmore.[1]

"Edmond Creekman" appears as a headright in a land patent issued 15 Aug 1750 to Lewis ffarinall. [2] "Edmund Crickman" received a certificate for 50 acres of land "for the transportation of Jane Wood, now the wife of the sd Crickman into this Collony." [3] On January 18, 1675, "Edmond Creekman" and "wife Jane Creekman," who lived near the mouth of Deep Creek on the Southern Branch of the Elizabeth River, acknowledged a conveyance to William Thomas. [4]

The last will and testament of "Edmon Creekmon," dated March 2[ ], 1679, and proven August 16 1680, names his wife and four children: John Creackmon, heir to the home plantation on Deep Creek; Edward Creackmon, heir to a tract of land near Mr. Richard Jones, Senr.; Edmon Creackmon, youngest son, not yet 21; Elizabeth Creackmon, heir to articles "upon her marriage." [5]

We know that John Creekmore built boats and his brother Edward built barrels from the conveyance on October 8, 1683, by William Thomas and his wife Jane to "Jno. Creekmor boatswright and Edward Creekmore Copper[sic]" the land they had earlier bought from "Edmond Creekmor the father of the sd Jno. and Edward." [6]

The names of John, Edward, and Edmond appear in the Norfolk records showing that they bought or sold land or were witnesses to various transactions.
