Research Note: Two women named Elizabeth Adams were born in Medway within two years of each other and are easily confused. Elizabeth, daughter of George and Sarah (Partridge) Adams, born 1726, and Elizabeth, daughter of Jeremiah and Elizabeth (Mcintyre) Adams, born 1728. They are third cousins, both descended from Henry and Edith (Squire) Adams. The one born in 1726 is the Elizabeth Adams of Wrentham (emphasis added) who married John Bullen in 1746. While she was born in Medway, her parents George and Sarah had moved the family to Wrentham in about 1735; the Elizabeth born in 1728 had no known connection to Wrentham. One researcher speculates that the person who recorded the marriage was aware of the possible confusion and added 'of Wrentham' to help us future genealogists, or at least help contemporary ministers and lawyers.
