MEMORIAL PHOTOS 2 FLOWERS 5 Mom was the 8th of 11 children born to Walter Ashley Carper and Lula May Barton, both from West Virginia.

The Carper and Barton families migrated, along with many other West Virginia families 1890-1910 into Wallowa County, Oregon, the Promise community. Mom and dad married September 17, 1940. They lived in Oregon, California, New Mexico and Alaska. After dad died in 1976, mom held his ashes close. She died in June 2006 and both their remains rest at Saint Therese.
