Mrs. Emma Shoup
Mrs. Emma Nord Shoup, 89, of Elm Street, Bessemer, died at 1:30 p.m. yesterday in the Jameson Memorial Hospital after a heart ailment of the past few years.
She was born in Bessemer March 30, 1896 to the late August and Matilda Swenson Nord. She married Archie Shoup, March 22, 1916. He died in 1928.
Mrs. Shoup was a member of the Bessemer U.P. Church.
Surviving are
- a son, Col. Harry W. Shoup of Hamilton Air Force Base, California,
- a daughter, Mrs. Franz (June) Warner of Palwadle, Ohio,
- a sister, Mary Nord, of Bessemer, and
- five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by
- her parents,
- her husband,
- a son, Archie Jr.,
- three sisters
- Mrs. Signe Anderson
- Mrs. Anna Anderson
- Esther Nord
- and four brothers
- Arvid
- Paul
- Bernard, and
- Richard Nord.
The family will receive friends at the Moses W. Cunningham Funeral Home, Oak Street, Bessemer, from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
The service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home by Rev. James George of Bessemer U.P. Church.
Interment will be in Petersburg Cemetery, Petersburg, Ohio.
