Evelyne Rey (Evelyne Lanzman) was a French actress, born July 9, 1930 at Bois-Colombes. She died November 18, 1966 in Paris. She was the sister of Jaques and Claude Lanzman.
In the 9th Chapter of her memoirs titled LIFE IN PATAGONIA, Claude Lanzman spoke at length about hios sister, and about her passionate relations particularly with Gilles Deleuze and Jean-Paul Sartre.
Evelyne was married for a very short while to Serge Rezvani, and played in a number of scenes in the Reportary theatre, both classical and contemporary works.
Her suicide on November 18, 1966 was just after her return from Tunisia, the country in which she had filmed this report, BEYA OR THE WOMEN OF TUNISIA. The film was released 2 years later on January 8, 1968.
