Joan Wadham

Jone (or Jane) Wadham was the daughter of John Wadam & Elizabeth Popham not the daughter of William Wadham, as stated in Burke's Peerage.

She is identified as the daughter of John Wadham in her father's will where he calls her Jane.

Jane/Joan are usually independent names, both frequently being found in the same family, but it is not unusual to find a particular Jane described as Joan and vice versa.

Proceedings of the Somersetshire Archaeological and Natural History Society v.16 (1870) has a pedigree of the of the Malet family. Thomas Malet's wife is identified as "Johanna filia Sir John Walham (Waddam) of Merefield Co. Somerset", citing Harl. MS 1385, fo 12.
