He was the son of Abraham and Mary (Wheeler) Gibson.1,2 He married Esther Fox, daughter of Thomas Fox and Rebecca French, in 1760 They had eight children. Their daughter Mary married William Wyman.3,2 Lt. Abraham Gibson died on 9 September 1813 in Lunenberg, Worcester County, Massachusetts, at age 78
