Artur was the Godfather and after WWII for some time legal guardian of Dr. Claus Zerkowitz (Claus Artur Zerkowitz)

Career military attained the rank of "Oberstleutnants" (Lt. Colonel), he served in the Great War (World War I) and suffered wounds that plagued him all his life. Later served as military attaché at the Austrian embassy in Athens. He married a Jewish woman and he and his family were persecuted by the Nazis as a result.
