Rabbiner in Hanau, Bamberg, Worms
Many books show Moshe to be the son of Rechla Ulmo (second wife), but this is completely wrong. In his introduction to Eshel Avraham, Moshe specifically mentions Lippmann Graetz as his grandfather. Moshe was born shortly after Abraham's first marriage in 1679. Yivo encyclopedia gives Moshes birth as 1674, Encyclopaedia Judaica (Berlin) gives 1675, but they are both wrong. The parents only married in 1679. Abraham's second marriage took place during his tenure in Raudnitz between 1691 and 1693. Rechla (second wife) outlived her husband by 30 years and died in Frankfurt in 1747, probably at a ripe old age.
