About Pte. Banett Lewis
Banett Lewis was the son of Joseph and Rachel Lewis. He and Ada Ryan married at Flemington in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on 12 October 1914 and made their home at 28 Victoria Street in North Melbourne. Step-child Leah Ryan born at Melbourne on 24 July 1901. His older half brother was Solie Solomon, draper of Cheviot, Canterbury. Storekeeper. Died of wounds, in the field, Belgium. Also remembered on the Victorian Jewish War Memorial.
