

Abel Sprague and Mercy Harvey Sprague were married about 1735 [1] and resided in Nine Partners, Dutchess Co., NY and later in Colchester on East Branch of the Delaware from whence he was driven out by Indians in 1778; Revolutionary soldier with the rank of Private [3] in Third regt., Dutchess Co., NY Militia; killed by Indians in spring, 1781. He had six sons [5] and was an ordained Congregational Minister. [5]
