Rypsimia (in Greek : 'Ριψίμη) is the wife commit Nikola and mother of Comitopuli - brothers David , Moses , Aaron and Samuel . Little is known about her biography. Her name is learned from the additions of Bishop Mikhail Devolski to the chronicle of Ioan Skilitsa . She died 993 years ago, dating from the famous Samuel inscription from the village of German , Prespansko, placed by Samuel in memory of his parents and his brother David at their grave.
It was named after the particularly popular Saint Ripsime in Armenia , who died martyred in 290 years. This fact serves as an argument for the thesis about the Armenian origin of the Ohrid dynasty.
