Samuel Judkins, of Surry County was born circa 1657 in Surry County, Virginia Colony. He was the eldest son of Samuel Judkins, Virginia Immigrant and Lydia Gray.
Samuel married Elizabeth Judkins (Petway) on October 27, 1690 in Surry County, Virginia. Together they had the following children:
He died in 1705 in Surry County, Virginia, his inventory being dated May 18, 1705 (D. & W. 1693-1709, p. 339).
Thomas Pittman and the two Judkins stepsons were involved in Bacon's Rebellion against Berkley, the British governor in 1675-6. All 3 were pardoned by the king a few months later, but Pittman was placed under a peace bond.
