https://www.familysearch.org/library/books/viewer/277483/?offset=0#...
This Sir Richard de la Bere was not born at Kinnersley, because it did not come into the family until 1340 with a marriage of Richard de la Bere and Sybil de Kynardsley.

The following refers to an entirely different Sir Richard de la Bere [who was a maternal half brother of Alan de Plugenet]. The land was in Somerset. That one had a son Richard who was married to a Clarice. They had sons Richard, John, Edmund [all died without issue] & Thomas who continued the effort, returning to court in a case that dragged on for more than 50 years. Thomas had his lands and chattels seized by the King and declared himself poor. Thomas did not leave any known heirs either. There does not seem to be any connection to the de la Bere of Herefordshire. The baronage of England, or, An historical account of the lives and most memorable actions of our English nobility in the Saxons time to the Norman conquest, and from thence, of those who had their rise before the end of King Henry the Third's reign deduced from publick records, antient historians, and other authorities Dugdale, William, Sir, 1605-1686; "Plugenet". The lands originally granted to Hugh Plugenet eventually transferred to Sir Richard de la Bere, Knight. [They were also taken away again after a series of chancery cases where the King announced he had been deceived]
