It should be noticed that the land called Railston is located in the Cunningham division of Ayrshire, formerly the barony of Cunningham, NRS: GD150/89 and that the land called Ralston, now part of Paisley, is located in Renfrewshire, formerly the barony of Renfrew. NRS: GD26/3/1115 Sir Walter Stewart had no connection with Ralston in Renfrewshire.

13 February 1430-31: Charter by which Robert, Earl of Fife, confirms that he has given the lands of Achaland, Ketidy and Cragsumquhar in in sheriffdom of Fife to William Despensa, burgess of Perth, and his wife Isabelle Campbell. Theese lands were given in exchange for the lands of Drumonde. With others, the charter was witnessed by Sir Walter Stewart of Railstoun: "D. Valt. Senescalli dom. de Railstoun". The earl of Fife's charter was confirmed under the Great Seal of Scotland on 13 February 1430-31. Registrum Magni Sigilli Regum Scotorum.
