About Tpr. Frederick Sturge Redfern
REDFERN, Trooper Fred. Sturge killed in action, was the son of the late Mr George Redfern, who for many years carried on a photographer’s business in Auckland. Deceased was well known in the Greenhithe district, where his mother and sister now reside. Amongst his brothers are Mr G Redfern of Takapuna; Mr J Redfern of Paparoa; and Quartermaster Sergeant Arthur John Redfern, who has been reported wounded.
