Looking at the Revision tab shows Goin has been part of the profile since January. Abuse is an odd and veery accusatory word when it appears the line is simply being worked and corrected as it is fleshed out.

What is truly an abuse and should be addressed, in my opinion, is when hundreds of duplicate profile are gedcom uploaded and Basic users are not able or do not care to tidy them back up...ESPECIALLY the MP'd ones. When a Basic user cannot even SEE that a profile is a duplicate, it puts the extra work on the ones who have paid to be able to work in Geni. Even those of us who have paid still don't have much control...Emotions run high at times.

I still wonder if your Nixon is mine Suzan Martin and now looking at the Revision tab I think perhaps is just another clue that it is along the same DNA-wise.

Hang in there, cousin! I feel the same way when it comes to many of my ancestral grandparents' profiles :)

I guess you deleted your original post.

And I believe you mean Melungeon.

But who do you mean when you say, "Our DNA doesn't match"?

Just trying to offer encouragement and state my own concerns as well as inform you that I have a direct Nixon line as well.

My maternal side have been teachers and politicians. I am curious why it would seem important to throw in some University names when attempting to shu others from the Nixon tree.

And never forget, people actually READ these Discussions.

:)

I will unfollow this Discussion. My Nixon line is Irish. My connection is via DNA on maternal line. My line comes from Ireland to Loudoun, Virginia. I have no reason to continue to follow any discussions on Nixon.

No, DNA doesn't lie. Whether autosomal, mitochondrial or Y.

I am very proud of my difficult to trace Melungeon ancestry. Happy to meet new cousins and happy to delete erroneous lines.

Just FYI...what was once an insult is now a badge of honor.
