That a discussion has not had any responses in a few hours does not mean it is abandoned. Geni is used by people in a lot of different timezones and that have different things to do in their real life.
Please read the first post for thorough info on how to get a profile made an MP. Also, please provide links to the relevant profiles when you are referring to them. There are millions of profiles and many with the same or similar names, so it is hard for the curators to guess at which one is the correct.
@Curators I found these three profiles Ludger tom Ring Ludger tom Ring, II and Hermann tom Ring these three are famous painters, so I think you should MP them. Also, can you disconnect Mr. Okoro as Ludger's spouse?
I also found Edward Wilmot Blyden he is considered the Father of Pan-africanism. MP his grandson Private I don't know if you should unprivate him or not, because I do not know if you guys can even do that..
Private -- That whole Okoro-managed tree is full of errors and inaccuracies, so we wouldn't MP those profiles.
Charlie Plank he was the guy who killed Abraham Lincoln's dog Fido, so I think he should be MPed. I got the information from FindAGrave
Private - nice work on the Charles Planck family. I added a couple of links and found a connection to an existing Geni tree. There’s more family that could be added.
Private - I added Marcello Tegalliano to our project, https://www.geni.com/projects/Dogi-della-Repubblica-di-Venezia-Doges-of-Venice/17801, and added some narrative from Wikipedia, as well as a link to the Italian online encyclopedia, http://www.treccani.it/enciclopedia/tegalliano-marcello-detto-tegal...
Erica Howton this is not related to MP's, but I found out that Doswell Rogers, Sr. is Charlie Plank's 2nd great grandfather, so now he has THOUSANDS of relatives.
Private - very much to do with Master profiles. We’re not Wikipedia: the Geni motto is “we’re all connected.” I’ve entered many, many profiles just to get profiles linked to the tree, although these days, it may only take a few.
That's a great reminder for us all, Erica.
The first item in the post starting this thread (from Geni's general manager) says:
Before posting here:
1. Try your hardest to connect the profile to the tree (or at least a significant stand-alone tree)
My personal preference is that profiles have, at minimum, double-digit relatives (usually 20+) before I MP it. I definitely understand that certain ethnic groups and time periods are harder to connect, so I take that into account, but for the most part, connection to the World Family Tree is one of the first things I look for.
So thank you to everyone who does that -- it's such a huge help for us!
Jan Hus, c. 1369 – 6 July 1415), sometimes anglicized as John Hus or John Huss, and referred to in historical texts as Iohannes Hus or Johannes Huss.
