About R' Shmuel Schick
Jacobi Papers propose father of Shmuel (R' Shmuel Schick) to be Yakov (Yakov Schick) son of Moshe (Moses Enoch Schick) by Jacobi Papers (Vol 4, Page 118, 11.2). Since Jacobi has some doubts about the data, both fathers are kept on the profile pending further investigations. (15 FEB 2025)
There are two explanations for the name Schick taken from each of the first letters of the words spelling "Shem Yisrael Kodesh" or "Shmuel Yuda Katzenellenbogen" - son of Rabbi Meir of Padua.
